User Data Deletion

PBS LearningMedia is committed to protecting your information. We have adopted commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical procedures to help protect your information from loss, misuse, and alteration.

Request to have your user information and data deleted

If you would like your user information and data deleted, please send an email to LearningMediaSupport@pbs.org and include the email address associated with your PBS LearningMedia account.

 

Request to have your students’ user information and data reviewed or deleted

Schools, teachers, parents, or other legal guardians may terminate the service or request access to, review of, and deletion or destruction of student data in accordance with applicable law by contacting us at LearningMediaSupport@pbs.org. Upon notification of your termination, PBS LearningMedia will use commercially reasonable efforts to return, delete, or destroy all personally identifiable student data it maintains in connection with your use of the Site and notify you once such return, deletion, or destruction is complete.

California Removal Request

Consistent with California law, registered users who are California residents and are under 18 years old are entitled to request and obtain removal of content and information that they themselves post on the Site by contacting us at LearningMediaContact@pbs.org or Public Broadcasting Service, 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202.  In your request, please provide a description of the material that you want removed and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material, and include your name, email address, year of birth, mailing address (including city, state, and zip code), and the phrase “California Removal Request” so that we can process your request. 

 

Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the material.  For example, materials that you have posted may be republished or reposted by another user or third party.
